My passions for photography were left unfulfilled for many years until nearly four years ago when I took the opportunity to pursue and successfully complete a two year National Diploma in photography.
Although my photographic career can be very varied my real passion has to be within the development and creation of Fine Art work: This involves photographing organic textures using film and projecting these images onto the nude form. The texture, when projected, moulds onto the body contours, thus blending in with the natural environment, creating a form of camouflage. Capture is made using medium format film in order to maintain the quality and size required.
My current series of work is called ‘Creating Illusions’. This captures the real femininity of nature and combined with the female form gives a transient sensual feel to the images, taking possession of the viewer’s thoughts.
The selection of images seen here, have been created by experimenting with projection along with slide sandwiching.
The need and drive to ‘find’ myself as a creative person has finally enabled me to realise my potential and niche in life: I love my chosen path.
